Information about Jaragua's Vegetation Map

The map presented is a portion of the Dominican Republic's vegetation map for 1996 produced by numerous technical staff, especially from the Natural Resource Information Direction of the Environment Secretariat (formerly  DIRENA from the Agriculture Secretariat). 

To make this map, many field trips were conducted, and also satellite images and aerial photographs were used.   Here we present a miniature version of the whole map.  Any question or comment should be directed to  direna@codetel.net.do
