To contribute to the
sustainable management of biodiversity with emphasis on the Jaragua-Bahoruco-Enriquillo
Biosphere Reserve of the Dominican Republic, as well as its
surrounding area, and to participate in actions related to natural
areas of the Dominican Republica.
Objectives
1.Facilitate
biodiversity conservation with emphasis of
Jaragua-Bahoruco-Enriquillo
Biosphere reserve and its surrounding area, supported on
the best available scientific knowledge.
2.Carry out
activities to benefit other natural areas of the
Dominican Republic, under legal protection or not.
3.Provide the means for
community participation in biodiversity conservation.
4.Conduct these
activities in coordination with the Ministry of the
Environment and Natural Resouces, as well as other
institutions.
5.Work towards the
effective management of biodiversity and the wellbeing
of human beings under climate change scenarios
6.Contribute to the
human wellbeing in the communties where it works.
